Dedicated to Public Safety and Advocacy for Officers

Our Mission

The Reserve Peace Officers Association is a dedicated organization representing the men and women who serve as Reserve Sheriff’s Deputies, Reserve Police Officers, Reserve Deputy Constables, and Reserve City Deputy Marshals. These individuals serve our communities by enhancing public safety, protecting our families while on the road, and supporting full-time law enforcement officers in their duties. Our organization exists to advocate for these officers, ensuring they have the necessary rights and opportunities to perform vital public safety operations.

Our Vision

A safer, more secure community where Reserve Peace Officers are fully recognized and authorized to contribute to public safety efforts.

Our Values

Integrity, Service, Commitment, Advocacy, and Public Protection.

Protecting Motorists, Roadways, and Infrastructure

Ensuring the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians during highway construction, lane closures, and funeral escorts.

  • Reserve Peace Officers play a crucial role in traffic control and safety operations, ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimizing hazards.

  • Their presence reduces the risk of accidents and injuries to highway workers, motorists, and pedestrians.

Your Support Can Make a Difference!

STOP House Bill 3846 and Senate Bill 2144

Our petition seeks to grant Reserve Peace Officers the legal authority to conduct traffic safety operations, ensuring safer roadways, infrastructure project development, and public spaces.

Why It Matters:

  • The current limitations prevent Reserve Officers from fully utilizing their training and experience.

  • Proper legislation would allow for more extensive public safety coverage without burdening full-time law enforcement.

  • Increased officer presence can significantly reduce traffic accidents, roadwork incidents, and security risks.

How You Can Help:

  • Signing the petition helps show lawmakers the importance of this cause.

  • Share the petition with your network to gain more support.
